Suran Wijayawardana
Chief Operating Officer
Suran Wijayawardana co-founded ACP Jets and assumed the role of vice president of flight operations in 2001. He was named the chief operating officer of InJet when the program formed in July 2008. Suran oversees all operational aspects of ACP Jets including owner services, dispatch/scheduling, aircraft and flight crew management, and plays the lead role in InJet’s commitment to safety and operational benchmarks.
Suran began his career in aviation more than 12 years ago holding various management positions with Philair Flight Center, JetServer and Chandelle Aviation.
He is actively involved with the National Business Aviation Association and is a member of the National Business Aviation Association’s Professional Development Program and certified Aviation Manager Program. He is the former chairman of the East Coast Aviation Safety and Training Group, and the Continued Florida Aviation Systems Planning Process (CFASPP), which is a division of the Florida Department of Transportation.
Suran attended Iowa State University for Aerospace Engineering and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he studied aeronautical science with a minor in aviation safety and human factors.
